FAQ's about Melbourne makeup artist and hair stylist

How much do your hair and makeup services costs?

Please get in touch for a detailed information PDF with a full price list and a quote.

Should I have a fake tan / wax / skin peel before my event?

I recommend waxing at least 7 days before your event as wax can remove skin and make it hard for makeup to adhere. Fake tans are best applied two days before your event so there's time for the colour to settle. I don't recommend peels within two weeks of your event, but LED light sessions, gentle hydrating facials and my favourite, the Carbon Laser Peel from Face Love ( are all great. If you're getting married and would like to start a skin care regime using active ingredients like AHAs and BHAs, please do so 4 - 6 months before the big day.

Will my makeup last all day?

I recommend that you purchase a translucent powder to touch up with throughout the day as well a lipstick in a colour you love. Your eye makeup will remain intact as waterproof products and an eyeshadow primer are used. Because of my extensive background in makeup and hair for photography, I use products that will stay put with minimal touch-ups and that will look beautiful on camera.

How many people can I book for?

I can accommodate bookings for both hair and makeup for up to four people. I can also accommodate bookings for hair or makeup only for up to eight people. For more than four people for hair and makeup, a separate hair stylist will be needed. I highly recommend Vanessa from Brides by Vanessa Jane and Tara Steel We've worked together on many weddings and both of them create amazing hair!

When is my booking confirmed?

Your booking is confirmed when your $100 booking fee is paid.

I take great pride in creating beautiful skin and to achieve this I uses La Roche Posay, Bioderma, and Dermalogica. I'm a Brand Ambassador for luxury European brand Ellis Faas, on sale at Mecca Cosmetica, and I also use NARS, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, MAC, Laura Mercier, Dior, Hourglass, Becca and Estee Lauder among others. I use Kevin Murphy, Bumble & Bumble, L'oreal and Paul Mitchell hair products. All the products I use are tried and tested through years of experience on brides and fashion sets.

Give your face a light exfoliation the night before with a damp terry towel cloth, gently buffing away any dead skin. I also highly recommend using a moisturising sheet mask. If you're having a hair trial or hair done on your wedding day, wash your hair (without using conditioner) the night before or the morning of your appointment and let it air dry. It's very important you come to your appointment with freshly washed, air dried hair and a clean face.
